Using the Page Tree Creator

via button macro:

via the tools menu (Three dots in the top right corner):

Select the option Copy Page Tree under the tools menu dropdown.

The Buttons

Create Page Tree Button

The Create Page Tree Button macro creates a new Page Tree from a template. You can specify:

  • the page you want to copy

  • the page, that shall become the parent page of the newly created page

  • labels, which will be applied to the root page of the new page tree

    • labels can be placeholders which can be replaced when using the button

  • groups which are allowed to use the button (if empty, everybody can)

  • to fix the target page, so that the target selection is disabled during the creation process

  • that the button is only visible for users that are permitted to use it

  • to automatically resolve page titles, to avoid duplicated page title conflicts

  • whether to copy attachments

  • to directly enter the edit mode of the newly created page

  • if the user should be able to select/deselect sub-pages of the page being copied (all selected pages will be copied)

  • to copy labels of the page

  • to copy restrictions of the page

  • which pages should to be watched after the instantiation

Create Space Button

The Create Space Button macro creates a new space from a template. Following specifications can be made:

  • specifying the root page of your new space

  • set a default space key for the new space, which can be replaced in the creation wizard

  • disable the Target Space Key - input field, so that the user can’t manually input a key for the new space

  • define labels, which will be applied to the root page of the new space

    • labels can be placeholders which can be replaced when using the button

  • groups which are allowed to use the button (if empty, everybody can)

  • that the button is only visible for users that are permitted to use it

  • instructions for user on how to set the space title

  • instructions for user on how to set the space key

  • if the user should be able to select/deselect sub-pages of the page being copied (all selected pages will be copied)

  • whether to copy attachments

  • whether to copy space favorite

  • whether to copy confluence templates

  • whether to copy EDM properties

  • whether to copy the space permissions

  • whether to copy labels of the pages

  • whether to copy restrictions

Multi Button

The purpose of the Multi Button Macro is to have multiple PTC Buttons shown as only one single Button. With a click on the Multi Button, a dialog will open, showing all the buttons that have been added in the edit mode of the page.
